FCC and OSHA Compliance
Sitesafe is dedicated to providing products and services to help you comply with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Sitesafe offers RF Health and Safety Awareness Training to teach corporate employees and the general public about those regulations.
Web-Based RF Safety Training
Peoplesafe® 5.0 is Sitesafe's comprehensive RF safety and awareness training program designed specifically for companies who have employees and contractors that, as part of their job description, work in an RF environment on or near transmitting antennas. The training course covers all aspects of RF safety, and certifies that students have obtained a clear understanding of proper practices when working in and around RF environments. The FCC's regulations specifically differentiate between people who have been trained and those who have not. OSHA also mandates that employers provide training for their employees and contractors.
More than 7,000 professionals have been trained using Peoplesafe®. The training is delivered as an e-learning course available to students from any Internet connection. Testing is administered by Sitesafe, and upon successful completion of the course examination, participants can print a certificate of completion. Sitesafe provides a wallet card showing course completion that students can use when required to access restricted sites and rooftops.
The new version of Peoplesafe® 5.0 for 2008 is now available, featuring completely updated material with state-of-the-art graphics and the latest in e-learning interactivity.
Classroom Training
Sitesafe also offers its RF safety and awareness training in a traditional classroom format. Sessions are conducted by knowledgeable technical instructors capable of responding to questions regarding RF Health and Safety. The instructor will provide all training material, and we recommend limiting groups to no more than 20 students to permit intensive training.
Training is conducted by lecture followed by a question and answer discussion, and then a final examination. Students, upon successfully passing the final examination, receive a wallet card and certificate of course completion from Sitesafe.
